For shopping spree, I was advised to shop in Hong Kong from July to late September because there are having major SALES. Everything is on sale of course but the main attraction it is much more cheaper than Malaysia Grand Sales.
Anywhere, here are some of the pictures taken during my trip to Hong Kong and Macau. I will do some description is possible
Malaysia delicacy Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak bought during my trip to Hong Kong. The journey took us 31/2 hour to reach HKIA.
To be frank with you this plate of Nasi Lemak sucks and it is expensive. The price is around RM 12 or RM 15 ringgit. I can't really recall as the flight is 7:00 am in the morning.
We arrive Hong Kong International Airport(HKIA) around 11 something in the morning. After exit from the immigration counter we decided to take a express train from Hong Kong International Airport to Kowloon. The single journey ticket only cost HKD 35.
It only took us around 30 minutes - 45 minutes to Kowloon station. After that, we hop onto the MTR train to alight to Yau Ma Tei station where Dorsett Seaview Hotel located. Please exit using Gate C.
From the Yau Ma Tei MTR station it took us less than 10 minutes to reach the front door of Dorsett Seaview Hotel.
My very first impression of this Hotel is not that bad as the building doesn't look so old and dirty. When I enter the lobby, this place is pack with tourists and luggage bags. I can't believe that so many tourists staying at this 3 star hotel.
Finally, we got the key for our room which located at the 7th Floor. The lift is very small. I think it only can occupy 5 person max and it only have 2 lifts to occupy the whole 19th floor.
My first impression, the room is super small. It only allow a single person to walk to the bed. I think the bed is queen size bed and to be honestly the room is very clean and tidy.
The room occupy with a single 14"inch tv with serve only few cable channel. A standard desk lamp and a mini size fridge, a electronic kettle and 2 empty glasses
Just imagine, if the room is small what do you think of the bathroom? Look at the bathtub, isn't the bathtub look cute? It only can fit half of me.
Imagine you are trying to have a nice hot relaxing time on the bathtub can this cute bathtub fit us ? I am wondering where do i put my pair of leg ?
The most important thing is the bathroom is clean
After unpack our luggage we are ready to go for shopping and sight seeing. Due to the bad weather, we decided to stop at Crown Restaurant for lunch nearby the Yau Ma Tei MTR station
This shop is serving tasty food and the portion of food is very big. I love the Teh Ping very much. You guys must try this. The ingredient is totally different with Malaysia. It is much more tasty than those drink server at Mamak stall or Kopitiam.
The Wan Tan noodle look a bit dry but it is tasteful. Anywhere, we are enjoying our lunch and the bill is only HKD63.00 (RM27.00)
Alright, after the lunch we finally decided to head to Mongkok, Ladies Market. The walking distance is only 15 minutes from Nathan Road. Please remember to get the Hong Kong Tourist guide map when you arrive at the airport. It is very useful especially you want to look for interesting places in Hong Kong
This place is full of tourists. It is very similar with Petaling Street in Malaysia or Jatujak Market in Bangkok. There are tones of goods selling here. You can get a lot of "pirated" branded staff. I didn't check the price as i'm not planning to get one here.
Please take note please bargain with them when you see the things that you like. If you are good at it i think you can get cheaper stuff here.
The Ladies Market starts at 12:00 PM till late night. Although, it is late at night there are still plenty of people walking on the street. You will feel much more secure compare with Malaysia. Other than that, there are uncle policeman patrolling there.
Next to the ladies market, is the 'sport shoes market'. Here you can get a lot of sports shoes - Nike, Adidas, Timberland, ..etc etc.
You will be amazes that the whole street is selling sports shoes ONLY with different designs that you will be able to get it in Malaysia.
